The Legendary Pink Dots at Almo2bar Barcelona, 14-10-2017, LEM Festival Edward Ka-Spel, vocals, lyrics, keyboards; Phil Knight, keyboards; Erik Drost, guitar And the legend finally crossed the festival during the night of October the 14th at the Almo2bar. The band leaded by Edward Ka-Spel and Phil Knight, one of the powerful diamonds that crystallised in the sonic explosion of the 80s, offered an impeccable concert with a review across some of their emblematic songs, those little evil anthems, and they demonstrated to be in top shape. Fans arrived from everywhere filled the venue and contributed to a unique and multifaceted ceremony by the Legendary Pink Dots.

Fame Chimica es un grupo híbrido de arte contemporáneo especializado en acciones performánticas, instalaciones audiovisuales y arte, formado por Paloma Sánchez, Sheila Moreno, Jennifer Moreno y Antonio Clavijo. Artistas visuales y sonoros, comisarios artísticos y diseñadores gráficos que muestran diferentes formas contemporáneas de entender la realidad. Antonio Clavijo Victori es un músico y artista visual de Barcelona que como Primo Gabbiano explora la faceta más experimental de la música, utilizando drones, paisajes sonoros, noise, ambient y electrónica primitiva. Su puesta en escena es marcadamente visual, y muy cercana a la instalación. Paloma Sánchez Castaño es Visual Pal, artista visual de Barcelona. Su carrera artística se desarrolla en la realización de piezas videográficas, instalaciones audiovisuales y directos como VJ.

Lista de especies extintas es un desempeño interdisciplinario que incorpora el movimiento, el sonido y las artes visuales. Un inmenso plástico negro como una escultura blanda (como una almohada) y la inflación de aire, se mueve en el espacio. Como un cazador. Este objeto es abstracto y tiene un poder evocador. Traga y escupe seres humanos, cuerpos desnudos; podríamos considerarlo como una alegoría de Leviatán y un monstruo legendario submarino, una metáfora del capitalismo, y las mismas condiciones humanas. Tiene el poder de amplificar la imaginación de quién está observado y de quién realiza la práctica, la acción directa en katarsis, de multiplicar asociaciones y capas conceptuales.

Los críticos más osados han escrito que Pelealtramuces y Almuercepastel son los Arroyito y Pozuelón de la música electrónica ibérica de pata negra, sin aclarar si es por su desparpajo, por su provecta edad, o porque aparecen en escena con Dame Veneno de Los Chunguitos y un mondadientes en la boca. Usando claroscuros laberínticos y texturas torturadas, el dúo entreteje con precisión de orfebre paisajes ciclotrónicos que luego vuelven del revés infinitas veces cual sonora cinta de Moebius. She navigates the viewer through a sea of references with her subtle humour, bringing influences ashore without any apparent effort and involving artist friends and historical perspectives in her exhibitions. Energized by Conceptual Art and Pop Art, her work keeps touching on key figures like Martin Kippenberger or Mike Kelley and makes countless references to cinema, literature, music, fashion, design, and lifestyles. In this way, her artwork presents itself more as the result of traditional tendencies, networks, and recurrences than as an original, individual artistic gesture. The large-scale arrangements, often in the form of animal motifs, mirror the conventions and rules of the art world and address von Bonin’s artistic identity within a network of relationships, dependencies, and role models. Continue readingMaterial: Sound installation (soundscapes, Couplets by Moondog, Trimba music, 16 speakers) As his contribution to Sculpture Projects, Ogboh has developed a sound concept for the Hamburger Tunnel, an underground passageway next to Münster’s main station. Based on the compositions and poems of the legendary American musician Moondog, he uses, among other things, material recorded on the Trimba by Moondog’s close friend Stefan Lakatos. The instrument was invented by Moondog—a blind street musician, who was born Louis Thomas Hardin (1916–1999)—and it is characteristic of the pieces he began composing in the late 1940s. According to the obituary written by his old New York flatmate Philip Glass, he was one of the most influential nonconformists of his time, an associate of Leonard Bernstein, and a source of inspiration for the composer Artur Rodziński.
