Sax and trumpet elevated into a cosmic procession with echoes of Bezet…” Nando Cruz – El Periodico de Catalunya – July 2017 Miquel Jordà, a multidisciplinary artist trained as a musician, has developed his work in a wide range of creative fields: musical composition and interpretation, video art, interactive installations and sound art. His long experience living and travelling in different countries worldwide is the principal source of his personal style and artistic project. His music journeys from western atonality to middle-eastern, Central and Southeast Asian harmonies. In the ‘80s he started working with trumpet and electronics in the NY improv and loft scenes and since 1991 has been based in Barcelona, where he continues to explore the more adventurous regions of acoustic, electric and electronic music. Along the way he has participated in countless collaborations with fellow travellers such as Arto Lindsay, Christian Marclay, Rudolph Grey, Etant Donnes, Victor Nubla, Pascal Comelade, Pierre Bastien, Jakob Draminsky, Murcof, Philippe Petit, Lydia Lunch or J.G Thirwell, as well as his own bands Don King, Raeo, Convolution, Bèstia Ferida and currently Blood Quartet.
